Outbrain Raises Funding for Blog Ratings System
Outbrain, a free service for rating and delivering content to site publishers, has received a round of funding from LGiLab, GlenRock, Sigma PCM and private investors, for an undisclosed amount. Outbrain lets you add inline, 5-star ratings to your blog entries, providing you with an interactive way to see what your readers do and don't like on your site. Outbrain also offers a blogroll widget that will provide links to quality blog articles based on their user ratings. While the service hasn't been officially launched, investors LGiLab hint at a “secret sauce” business model that looked intruigingly promising, and is gearing up for some significant changes.
